How much does a licensed electrician cost in Calgary?

Our pricing is 100% transparent. MMS Electric offers a 'Fixed Price Guarantee,' so the price we quote is the price you pay. No surprises. Call us at 587-890-2680 for a fast, free estimate.

Is your electrical work guaranteed to pass Calgary city inspection?

Yes, absolutely. We are Licensed Master Electricians. All our work, especially complex jobs like Panel Upgrades and Basement Wiring, is 100% guaranteed to comply with all Alberta and Calgary Electrical Codes.

Are you available for 24/7 emergency calls in Calgary?

Yes. Our emergency electricians are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across all of Calgary, including Aspen Woods, Mount Royal, and Marda Loop. We guarantee a fast response. Call us immediately at 587-890-2680.

How do I know if I need an electrical panel upgrade in my older Calgary home?

Many older Calgary homes (especially in areas like Mount Royal, Killarney, or Bel-Aire) were not built for modern electrical loads. Common signs you need an upgrade include: flickering lights, breakers that trip constantly, buzzing sounds from the panel, or if your insurance company requires it. We offer free panel safety inspections.

How much does it cost to install a Level 2 EV charger in Calgary?

The cost for a code-compliant Level 2 EV charger installation (like Tesla, Rivian, or Ford) varies based on your home's current panel capacity and the location of the charger. As Master Electricians, we provide a fixed, upfront quote and ensure your install is 100% safe and compliant.

Do I need a permit for new basement wiring in Calgary?

Yes, 100%. Any new wiring for a basement development, renovation, or legal suite in Calgary requires an electrical permit and inspection. MMS Electric is a licensed Master Electrician, and we handle the entire permit and inspection process. We guarantee our work will pass the first time.

What is the difference between a Master Electrician and a regular electrician in Alberta?

A Master Electrician is the highest certification an electrician can achieve in Alberta, certified by the Safety Codes Council. It requires years of proven experience, advanced testing, and signifies we are legally authorized to pull our own permits, manage projects, and carry higher levels of insurance. When you hire a Master Electrician, you are hiring the top tier of the profession, guaranteeing safety and accountability.

Do you service all of Calgary, or just Downtown?

We are a Service Area Business (SAB) that serves all of Calgary and surrounding areas. While our GMB profile may appear centered near Downtown, our teams operate daily in all quadrants and wealthy suburbs, including Aspen Woods, Springbank Hill, Bel-Aire, and Pump Hill. We come to you.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nick is a punctual electrician who works with integrity and efficiency. He is someone who has thorough knowledge and is always willing to provide expertise with anything I am unsure of. He has done amazing work with lighting in my garage, updating my outdated shop lights while adding two more lights to enhance what was once a dark garage! Most recently, he replaced my front garage lights, bringing a modern aesthetic addition to my house at a great price. He was also able to diagnose and fix my sensor issues at my front door which now works seamlessly. I would recommend him for any of your electrician needs!
